STITCH GUIDE.

Tubular rib:

Row1: *k1, sl 1 purl wise with thread on RS*, rep between ** to end.

Rep row 1 for pattern.

Rib 2/2: k2, p2.

Row 2 and alt other rows: k3, p8, k3

Row 13: p3, sl 2 sts on cn and hold back, k2, then k2 from cn; sl 2 sts on cn  and hold front, k2, then k2 from 2 cn; p3

Row 15, 17: as row 1.

Row 19: p3, k4, using melange blue yarn to work bobble (= insert right needle under loop between just worked st and next st on left needle and *k1, k1 tbl* 3 times from it, then pass first 5 sts over 6th st and slip  from needle; cont using light blue yarn: k4, p3

GAUGE.

15 sts = 10 cm over st st.

Note: to work using Mistral yarn with 2 strands.

FRONT.

With needle 4 mm using spare yarn, cast on 82 (90) sts and work 1 knit row (after finished work to remove this yarn); using blue, work 1 purl row and 4 rows in tubular rib, then cont in rib 2/2, alternating 6 rows in blue, 4 rows in light blue, 2 row in mélange blue, 4 rows in light blue and 8 rows in blue. Finished it, cont with needle 4.5 mm using mélange blue, in st st, dec 18 (20) sts evenly at 1st row (for every dec to work k2tog). Work to 25 (28) cm from beg.

Shape V neck.

Divide work  half, and cont only first 32 (35) sts, leaving rem sts aside. For shape neck, on distance 1 st from edge, dec 1 st on alternately every 2th and every 4th rows 22 (23) times. For dec1 to work k2 tog. Work to 57 (61) cm from beg.

Shape shoulder.

Cast off rem 10 (12) sts as foll: on every other rows 5 (6) sts 2 times.

Return to leaving sts and complete to match first side, reversing shaping.

For dec1 st at neck edge to work ssk.

BACK.

Work as front but don’t shape neck.

Through 54 (58) cm from beg, for back neck cast off 10 central sts and cont both side separately.

Cast off 4 (5) sts at neck edge on next row and 2 sts on 3 foll other rows. Work to 57 (61) cm from beg.

Shape shoulder.

Cast off rem 17 (19) sts as foll: on every other rows 5 (6) sts 2 times and 7 sts once.

Return to leaving sts and complete to match first side, reversing shaping.

NECK BAND.

For right band, with needles 4 mm using yarn light blue, cast on 14 sts and work in pattern A. Through 30 (31) cm from beg, for point, cast off 1 st at ends of every other rows 11 times, then cast off rem 3 sts.

Work left band at same way, reversing shaping.

FINISHING.

Join slope sides of neckbands. With needles 4 mm using yarn blue, pick up and knit 76 (80) sts across each shorter diagonal edge of neckband and 1 st from middle of neckband. Work rib 2/2, beg on WS with p2 and work middle sts as p1.

In next row, for point, on 3 middle sts work s2kp and rep this dec on every other rows 2 times more. Finished 5 rows of rib 2/2, to cont in tubular rib and work 4 rows, then cast off all sts using tapestry needle.

Sew neckband around front neck.

With needles 4 mm using yarn blue, for back neckband, pick up and knit 58 (62) sts across back, work 5 rows in rib 2/2 and 4 rows in tubular rib, then cast off all sts using tapestry needle.

Join shoulder seams and side neckbands seams.

For armhole band, with needles 4 mm using yarn light blue, pick up and knit 53 (57) sts across last 19.5 (21) cm of side back and 53 (57) sts across first 19.5 (21) cm of side front. Work in rib 2/2, alternately 5 rows using yarn light blue and 4 rows using yarn blue. Through 9 rows from beg band, work 4 rows in tubular rib and cast off all sts using tapestry needle.

Other band work at same may as first band.

Sew side seams and armhole band seams.
