250 g cotton yarn CABLE 5: 50 g each color – white, gold, orange, green and pistachio

With white, ch 5 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.

Rnd 1: 1 ch (counts as first sc), 9 sc in ring, join with 1 sl sp in fist ch. Continue to work round in a spiral.

Rnd 2: working this rnd and all of the folls rnds only in back loops of st,  2 sc in each st around.

Rnd 3: sc in each st around.

Rnd 4, 6, 8, 10: sc in each st working evenly inc 5 sts on every row. To work 2 sc in one st for inc 1 st.

Rnd 5, 7, 9: sc in each st working evenly inc 6 sts on every row.

Rnds 11-17: 1 sc in each st around. Finished it, insert 6-cm plastic ball inside and continue.

Rnd 18, 19, 20: sc around working evenly dec 5 sts on every row. To work 2 sc together for dec 1 st.

Rnd 21, 22, 23: sc in each st decreasing evenly 11 sts on every row.

Rnd 24: sc in each st decreasing evenly 5 sts.

HEAD.

With white, ch 5 and form ring with sl st in first st.

Rnd 2: working this rnd and all of the folls rnds only in back loops of st, 2 sc in each st. Continue alternately 1 rnd with orange and 1 rnd with gold.

Rnd 3, 5: sc in each st increasing 6 sts evenly on every rnd.

Rnd 4, 6, 8: sc in each st around.

Rnd 7, 9: sc in each st increasing 2 sts evenly on every rnd.

Rnd 10: sc in each st increasing 4 sts evenly.

Rnd 11: tr in each st, turn and continue on WS.

Rnd 12: working in both loops, sc in each st around.

Rnd 13, 14: working only  in back loops, sc in each st.

Rnd 15: crab st (sc worked from left to right) in each st around.

Fasten off.

POMPON.

With orange, ch 5and form in ring with sl st in first st.

Rnd 1: 2 sc in each st around, replacing first sc with ch 1 , and join this and all of the folls rnds with sl st.

Rnd 2: sc in each st increasing 5 sts evenly.

Rnd 3, 5: sc in each st around.

Rnd 6: sc in each st decreasing 5 sts evenly. To stuff with remnants of yarn.

SCARF.

With orange, ch 4, skip ch 1 from hook, sc in next 3 st. Continue the sc in each st, alternately 2 rows with gold and 2 rows with orange; replacing first sc with ch 1.

Work 73 rows and fasten off.

FINISHING.

Embroider eyes and mouth as shown photo.

Attach 3 small buttons on body.

Attach head to the body and sew neatly. In same way attach pompon to the hat.

Put hat on the head and tie scarf around neck.

Work in same way two more snowmen. For first snowman replace gold with green and orange with gold. For second snowman replace gold with orange and orange with pistachio.
